Playlist: Last Summer Coast Day

August 28, 2026

It’s the last chance for a little coastal sunshine this Oregon summer!

We sure took advantage of it this week and soaked in some time on our favorite north seaside spots. In tide pools, massive cliffs, and even port docks, the Oregon coast maintains a unique kind of quiet charm. We love an uncrowded, unhurried beach trip when the masses have gone back to their daily routines. But, there’s also a bit of unavoidable, end-of-season sadness that didn’t go unnoticed. We’ve been listening to a ton of music recently across genres and decades but we wanted to recenter ourselves this week back to our indie rock and pop roots. While a few of these track branch out a bit, there’s a lot of great new songs from artists we have long loved. A quiet worry lingers through these tracks in a way that really pulls their guitars, piano and synths together. This playlist is perfect for a long drive as we shift seasons and never sinks all the way into the sadness. Get your feet in some warm sand and enjoy Last Summer Coast Day below:
