Playlisting is a team sport.
One of our favorite people to share new music with is our friend and long-time music and playlist lover, Adam. Having explored different lots of different music listening and sharing projects, he has always had a knack for finding special new tracks, taking the time to listen to our endless recommendations, and making creative prompts to tie songs together unexpectedly in playlists. He is the perfect person to get back into the swing of some combination playlists with, especially as we head into the ideal playlisting season of fall. For this week’s playlist, we are taking it back to the sometimes beautiful and sometimes heartbreaking pinnacle of many a high school fall: Homecoming. We’ve each picked ten songs that embody the spirit of a sparkling dance floor, new love, lost love, and the feeling of gathering together with friends. There’s a fair amount of new indie rock from some artists you may already love and lots of fresh little gems to soundtrack your own personal dance floor. It’s a playlist to connect you to both your inner angst and that sweet feeling of letting go.
