Video: Jennah Barry – “I See Morning”

August 5, 2020

Jennah Barry‘s video for “I See Morning” is the slow-moving dose of color, shape, nature, and small dancing that every day needs. Earlier this year, Barry released a contemplative, colorful, and undeniably dreamy album called Holiday. While the collection of warm songs is a treasure as a whole, “I See Morning” is great individual representation of the kind of tender magic instilled in Barry’s blissful songwriting. With vivd lyrics that highlight the importance of perspective and sweeping arrangement that brings in soft swells from all directions, the song comes in patient, immersive waves and glides into a distant horizon with grace.

Directed by Kat Shubaly, the clip focuses on the little things. From beginning to end, the tones and textures of the indoor shots have the same touch of softness and feeling of brightness as the outdoor shots. The slow movements of the dancing intertwined with the playful closeups and the confetti-filled entry to a blossoming meadow kept these visuals as light and fluent as this track. Holiday is out now on Forward Music Group. Listen to more Jennah Barry here.
