Compilation: Summer of Love

August 16, 2019

Summer of Love is a collection of glowing love song covers for and from the heart. Curated thoughtfully with our friends at Various Small Flames, the covers on this compilation fill a spectrum of love. Amongst a flurry of synths and a whirlwind of guitars, the sweetest voices will reach for your heartstrings in a hazy warmth.

All proceeds of this compilation will be donated to the Homeward Bound Animal Rescue, a rescue in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania where previously neglected mother dogs and their puppies find their happily ever after. We couldn’t be more excited to provide them with always needed funds to keep the rescue running. You can stream Rosie Tucker’s cover of Connie Converse’s “How Sad, How Lovely” to your heart’s content and have the whole rest of of the compilation to listen to for a $5 or more donation. There is also a limited run of 50 goldenrod cassettes available for listening in your car/stereo/walkman for $10.

This compilation wouldn’t have been possible without beautiful music from our friends all over the world: Basement Revolver, Anna McClellan, Angharad Drake, Lucy Stone, Ora Cogan, Rosie Tucker, Sixteen Jackies, Honey Moon, Porridge Radio, and INGS. A big thank you to our forever sound wizard Jake Detwiler for mastering this compilation. We were also honored to have Laura Supnik put her whimsy into our cover and tape insert design.

We hope you enjoy every bit of this slice of summer lovin’ as much as we do.

Once you’re done filling yourself with love, switch things up and listen to our last compilation Summer of Sad here.

May your summers always be filled with love and great music!
