The new single from Bad Flamingo is undeniably cool. “Fire” is the kind of song that burns like the piercing sun on the horizon in the midst of a seemingly endless dusty trail. Where others have tried and failed, the mysterious, masked duo really nail a tricky genre amalgamation of country, pop, and just the right amount of hip hop. They’ve carefully chosen and arranged elements of each to create a smooth and intriguing track that never ceases to add fuel to its own fire. The chorus of the track will slowly melt into the walls of any listener’s mind. We’d call this bold track the dark horse of the summer but Bad Flamingo’s talents are too obvious. Ride away into the setting sun above.
