The Lemon Twigs make addictive glam pop. That’s right, I said glam pop. Reinvigorating the genre with a youthful, psychedelic flair, The Lemon Twigs have a pair of songs that burst with pizazz. Long Island brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario have continued strongly from “As Long As We’re Together” (below) with their B-side “These Words.” Segmented into impenetrable grooves and a soft melody, the track climbs and soars to embellished climax. Intricately woven layers follow the trail of the vocal melody through quirky synths, a chugging bassline, and rising backing vocals. Both tracks are out now on 4AD.
