All the covers I’ve found myself enjoying recently have a saccharine touch. The majority are gentle, kind and almost heavenly version of the original. Desperation winds up to a rage in some songs and hovers in the stillness of silent spaces in others. Retaining the bones of the originals within the spirit of the new artist, these covers have comfortable charm.

In Studio: Japanese BreakfastThis is the most amazing cover of a Cher song you will hear all day. And maybe…ever. Right, Japanese Breakfast?
