Nothing makes me feel like blogging more than a sweet, little helping of effervescent garage pop. Boys‘ debut single, “Ever Before,” is just that kind of aural delight. Holy guitarist Nora Karlsson’s solo project is billowing and bright under a charming layer of fuzz. Powdery pop driven by jangling guitars dancing in perfect time with Kalsson’s lofty croon make for short but delectable sampling of simplistic beauty. Floating along a steady syncopated beat, it will slowly but surely plaster itself to the deepest corners in your musical brain.
