Los Angeles Police Department bring out a softer side on “Water and Wine.” Ryan Pollie has been making some excellent bedroom pop tunes under the name Los Angeles Police department since 2013. But, he really picked up steam last year with the single “She Came Through (Again)” and the release of his self-titled debut album. “Water and Wine” replaces the purposeful drive of his earlier material with a wistful swirling soundscape, allowing the song to flow freely in supple harmony.
