Every Ainslie Wills track feels like a different version of home. Even though she openly questions the notion of home in her latest single, “Society,” the song remains warm, timeless, and heartfelt. Using the strength of her voice, Wills maintains a steadfast defiance amongst the unanswerable questions of expectation. This song is perfect for stewing in a “lukewarm bath” or just on the wonderings of wandering through your own life path. It’s minimalistic backbone of guitar and distant, ethereal touches feel just right.
Thank you, Ainslie, for making such a solid song that I’m sure my brand new housemates are now also addicted to by osmosis.
