Session: Jordan Caiola & Tess Emma

December 20, 2017

Jordan Caiola and Tess Emma created an endearing love song that just begged to be recorded for all to see (and hear). The pair of Philadelphia songwriters had been spending time writing together at the beginning of this year. When we watched a Facebook video that they had recorded of this song, we couldn’t get enough. While their rooftop version featuring car horn accents was delightful, we wanted more people to hear the marriage of their vocal textures and guitars as they slide through this irresistible melody with ease.

This version of “Circles” came straight from the blanket covered floor of Bourbon & Branch. Both Jordan and Tess have played shows and songwriter showcases between its cozy, wooden walls so it suitably matched the warmth and familiarity of the song. Bob Sweeney‘s gentle pans and close ups balanced with Jake Detwiler‘s delicately crisp audio to make this polished, live version a real treat. Let this sweet tune lift you into good spirits amidst the bleakness of winter!

Jordan is 1/3 of Mo Lowda & the Humble. They’ll be playing with Vacationer at Frankford Hall on New Year’s Eve.
