“Let It Groh” is unexpected in many ways. It’s a fresh start for longtime musician Caleb Groh. Formerly Happiest Lion and charming with melodic folk under his own name, Groh has now reinvented his folk roots by wrapping them in percolating pop. Underneath the interchange of tinkering percussion and bubbling synths, the poignant melody of “Let It Groh” speaks sweetly to the confusion of on again/off again love. Somehow, it all churns together in sync, married to the the syncopated bassline and the height of Groh’s falsetto. “Let It Groh” is the first track off Groh’s Hot Pop EP which is out October 30th.
