Tune: Young Rapids – “What R U Saying”

Combining staples of rock and pop with artful composure, Washington DC’s Young Rapids have a whirling hit in their latest single, “What R U Saying.” Structure, or lack there of, is what shapes the song’s fluid instrumentation into dynamic journey of psychedelic sounds. Guided by syncopated rhythms of percussion and synth, “What R U Saying” hits just the rights spots with bursts of guitar that recede into echoing piano and powerful vocal melody that cautiously rages through a range of dynamics.
