Juniore‘s “Christine” whirls together a pile of genres into a dark, cinematic haze. Stark instrumentation highlights the intoxicating voice of Anna Jean, the head of the group of girls behind the transfixing music of Juniore. Holding strongly to the general sound of the 1960’s, “Christine” billows with psychedelic, surf, and country elements that form a purposeful melancholic cloud. Juniore’s debut EP was released quite awhile ago now. Here is to wonderful late discoveries.
