Tune: Leaf Erikson – “Flying High”

Good things come to those who wait.  We have patiently awaited the return of London’s Leaf Erikson  since they appeared from the ashes of UK outfit Flashguns. Arriving a year after their announced reincarnation, “Flying High” does not disappoint. Burning slowly in sweet harmonization, the group’s official debut follows their old sound down a more thoughtful and emotive path. Jazzy guitar lines, a plodding bassline and percussion grow in grandeur as the song slowly eases it’s way into your musical memory. Hopefully, 2015, among many other things, is the year Leaf Erikson returns in full force. Our ears are waiting.
