“It’s cool to kind of analyze yourself with another person as mirror. I think that’s essentially what Girlpool is.” – Harmony Tividad
Things Are OK, from Cory McConnell, is a beautiful tribute to and exploration of a duo of young women searching to define themselves as the rest of the world does the same. Intimate honesty is a reoccurring theme of their music, their friendship, and this video. Watching only makes you want to have a friendship that can be as strong as Harmony and Cleo’s. As their rise to fame was quick and unexpected, they work together to stay strong in their constantly changing environment, finding a sense of home and belonging within themselves and each other.
Last night we had the pleasure of attending Girlpool‘s first hometown show here in Philly. It left us with a warm glow as delightfully personal and special as this documentary.
